Job Description:
The Receiving & Materials Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accurate receipt, inspection, documentation, and control of all incoming materials, including raw materials and components. This role supports operational efficiency by maintaining material traceability, proper handling procedures, and compliance with manufacturer and industry standards. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform the incoming review to identify, control, segregate, and maintain all materials (including raw materials and parts) according to the manufacturer requirements or standard industry practices
- Process parts returning from bases and forward to appropriate areas
- Receive purchased, manufactured and customer supplied material
- Maintain paperwork/traceability of all incoming material to include Packing Lists, Certs, 8130’s, Conformity data and any other pertinent information
- Ensure log sheets are properly completed and maintained
- Ensure all parts have been inspected and signed off prior to staging for inventory control
- Maintain neat and orderly Receiving area, by ensuring daily management of housekeeping and filing
- Other duties as assigned by the Supply Manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in Material Control, i.e., Stores Clerk, Customer Material, Inventory Control, Shipping, Receiving, or related field preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Computer proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and MS Excel
- Must be organized and be able to work effectively independently and as a team with a large and varied workload
- Aviation experience and knowledge of SAP and Ramco helpful but not required
- Ability to learn SAP and Ramco operating systems to perform daily transactions
- Understand requirements of receiving and controlling Hazardous Material, and be able to complete mandatory company Hazardous training/certification course
- Must be available for overtime and/or work flexible schedule as job requirements dictate
- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds as required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
