Join our Asset Management Operations team as the Data Strategy and Operations Vice President, where you'll be at the forefront of transforming our data management and governance practices. As a Data Strategy and Operations Vice President on our Asset Management Operations team, you will be the promoting force behind the radical transformation and modernization of our data management and governance practices. Your focus will be on crafting and implementing data-promotion strategies that set new benchmarks in operational efficiency and effectiveness. You will have the unique opportunity to influence the direction of our data operations, making a substantial impact on the organization and paving the way for future advancements.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead business-as-usual team responsible for data management in Real Estate and Hedge Fund to Fund businesses, encompassing a wide range of activities including data quality management, validation and verification processes, data enrichment, data analytics & reporting, and exception monitoring.
  • Provide oversight to service providers to ensure seamless and efficient operations
  • Develop and implement a cohesive strategy that aligns data management with operational objectives, optimizing both for maximum impact
  • Innovate and modernize data processes, incorporating cutting edge technologies and best practices in data management & governance, analytics and reporting
  • Lead operational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transition and implementation of new processes and systems
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging data insights for operational enhancements and strategic decision-making
  • Engage with cross functional teams and senior leadership, effectively communicating strategies and fostering a collaborative approach to data and operations
  • Construct and implement a robust oversight and governance model for vendors and service providers, ensuring it effectively aligns with our strategic goals maintains high operational standards
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations to convey strategies and results to cross functional teams and senior leadership


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and skills:

  • 7 or more years experience both in data management and operational leadership in dynamic, data-intensive environments, with a specific focus on alternative investments such as real estate, hedge funds, private capital, private equity
  • A proven track record in driving successful data-driven initiatives and leading significant transformational projects and operational change
  • In-depth knowledge of data management technologies, methodologies, and best practices
  • Strong problem solving and decision making abilities, capable of navigating complex challenges and delivering solutions
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies aligned with organization's vision and goals
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and lead diverse teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to influence and engage at all organizational levels
  • Demonstrated experience in operational controls, with a focus on developing, implementing and improving control frameworks
  • Advanced proficiency in developing presentations and fluency in Microsoft applications
  • Proficiency in AI, automation tools and other emerging technologies


Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Deep subject matter expertise in one or more alternative investment products. Areas of expertise should include, but not limited to real estate, hedge fund of funds, private capital or private equity
  • A technical skillset that includes any combination SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, advanced Excel, Python (or other automation tools) applied creatively to solve operational challenges and improve efficiencies
