We are seeking a Senior-level Software Engineer with both imagination and technical drive. Someone eager to help shape the future of weapons planning. In this role you’ll craft high‑impact applications that empower the warfighter, transform complex weapon planning data into clear, actionable insight, and push the boundaries of what modern mission planning systems can accomplish.

Responsibilities — What you’ll do:

  • Play a key role in designing, developing, deploying, and demonstrating feature-rich applications and R&D projects
  • Work on the Next-Generation Open Mission Planning System for the DoW
  • Articulate the long-term vision for projects and translate it into detailed features and feasible software designs
  • Develop the architectural runway necessary for large solutions
  • Learn emerging technologies and programming tools to keep you and your team as well equipped as possible

Required Qualifications — We need someone who:

  • Has a bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 14 years of experience or a master's degree with 10 years of experience
  • Actively programs with one or more of the following languages: C#, Java, JavaScript, or Typescript
  • Has experience using Web frameworks such as React, Node.js, Vue.js, Next.js, ASP.NET, or Angular
  • Demonstrates strong fundamental skills in software design and development and the ability to coordinate the team’s workflow
  • Engages with teammates, both virtually and face-to-face, to plan projects, seek out or provide help on issues, as well as present solutions to clients
  • Manages time well and can prioritize a team's tasks to ensure projects are completed on time
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation

Preferred Qualifications — It’s even better if you:

  • Has background in developing mission planning applications for the DoW
  • Have experience developing containerized microservices in a Kubernetes environment
  • Have examples of code or applications you’ve built that we can check out
  • Are proficient with multiple IDEs, Languages, or Frameworks
  • Have a background taking an entire development through launch
  • Can demonstrate proficiency with AI-Assisted software development workflows
  • Received one or more Scrum, Microsoft, Google Developer certifications or any other technical certifications
