As a R&D Test Engineer, you will be a key member of Engineering team in South Korea as part of HERE Map and Service organization. This is a role that requires fluency in the latest versions of the Android and iOS and mobile testing. The position will be based in South Korea and will report to the Engineering Manager of Map and Service Engineering South Korea team.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Working with the team to develop test cases and test scenarios for the HERE Software Development Kit (SDK) products and HERE services.
- Maintaining and executing these tests in an exploratory manner and regularly for the high frequent software releases for our different product variants.
- Running field-tests with our test applications on different hardware, platforms, and architectures.
- Working closely together with the software engineers and local teams to solve and verify quality issues you detect and report.
- Monitoring the performance and overall experience of our mobile SDKs. Continuously working towards monitoring and improving the team’s test infrastructure and coming up with new and innovative solutions as and when required.
You are motivated to explore and deliver high quality solutions to our customers. You have a strong passion for technology and a strong customer-centric, product sense. You enjoy working outside your comfort zone and love to learn new technologies.
You will have great success on this role if you possess the following skills, competencies and experience:
- 2+ years’ experience in client-side software testing
- Proficient in the Python programming language
- Experience in mobile application testing (iOS, Android)
- Knowledge of JIRA and test management systems
- Experience in running field tests (with navigation software is a plus)
- Experience working in agile teams
- Passion for mobile phones and fluency in latest versions of iOS and Android
- Excellent collaborative and communication skills
- Very good command of English and Korean
