Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated (Chinese Speaking) Series Support Engineer to join our team. As a Series Support Engineer, you will be responsible for collaborating with Chinese partners and suppliers to ensure the successful implementation of engineering projects. You will play a crucial role in maintaining product design, quality, and functionality, as well as providing technical support to various departments. This role requires fluency in Chinese, excellent engineering knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Chinese partners and suppliers to ensure timely and successful implementation of engineering projects, adhering to Bosch business and technical targets.
  • Maintain the state-of-the-art product design and ensure product quality meets functional and requirements specifications.
  • Provide engineering support to production, purchasing, and sales departments, including risk assessment, problem-solving, and engineering change requests.
  • Represent engineering work in steering committee meetings and act as a technical interface for internal and external customers regarding series production topics.
  • Analyze validation reports and perform data analysis for product and component release.
  • Coordinate with developers, designers, test engineers, production, purchasing, and suppliers to develop technical solutions based on requirements, utilizing existing product and component portfolios, and initiating the development of new variants if necessary.
  • Coordinate or lead a team to develop solutions using design tools and methodologies such as LHPH, FMA, FMEA, DRBFM, 8D.
  • Act as a technical interface for various stakeholders including design, simulation, testing, customer, sales, purchasing, manufacturing, quality, product management, and controlling.
  • Coordinate the creation, monitoring, and fulfillment of development and validation plans according to project timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related subjects.
  • Experience in the field of automotive components and systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with project and engineering change processes in the automotive environment.
  • Experience collaborating with different functions in product development and series support, such as engineering, production, purchasing, sales, quality, etc.
  • Knowledge of product development processes and methods, including LHPH, FAM, DRBFM, FMEA, 8D.
  • Independent, well-structured, and goal-oriented approach to work.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, high resilience, and willingness to take responsibility.
  • Ability and willingness to make decisions with limited information and take risks.
  • Strong team management skills, with the ability to drive teams towards common goals.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in spoken and written Chinese, with experience working with Chinese partners.
  • Good English skills in spoken and written form.
  • International/intercultural experience through previous education or work.
