JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our location in Alameda, CA currently has an opportunity for an R&D Program Manager. This role will manage all aspects of a large scale and complex project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget.

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design controls process for medical devices, particularly in the digital realm (apps and cloud). This role involves managing programs for sustaining products on the market and launching new product applications and digital platforms.

  • Oversee and manage the design controls process for medical devices R&D, with a focus on digital applications and cloud-based solutions.
  • Lead programs aimed at sustaining existing products and launching new products in the market.
  • Engage with stakeholders by providing regular updates on program progress.
  • Escalate issues as necessary and assist in resolving resource constraints.
  • Enable cross-functional teams to plan and execute programs effectively.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, steering committees, and other stakeholders.

YOU’LL BRING 

  • Associate degree plus 4 years of experience
  • Proven experience in medical devices R&D and design controls process, especially in the digital realm (apps and cloud).
  • Strong program management skills with a track record of managing sustaining and new product programs.
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence tools and digital environments in the context of medical devices.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging and updating stakeholders.
  • Ability to escalate and resolve issues and manage resources effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate communication between cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred 

Bachelor and/or Advanced Degree

Software experience preferred.

The base pay for this position is

$98,000.00 – $196,000.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
