About the R&D Operations Department
Our R&D organization, spanning both Product and Technology functions, plays a vital role in RELEX’s success. The newly established R&D Operations department enables and enhances R&D’s efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and ways of working by driving process, reporting and tooling related development.
We are now strengthening our Processes & Metrics team with an R&D Operations Manager. In this role, you will establish, maintain, and develop key reports and reporting tools for R&D metrics. You will also drive development initiatives to improve processes and collaboration, contributing to the overall success of the R&D organization.
What You’ll Be Doing:
R&D Metrics & Reporting
- Define, establish and develop key R&D metrics and KPIs to support decision-making at team, department, and function
- Own and develop reporting tools and dashboards, ensuring alignment with business and R&D objectives.
- Drive improvements to data quality and accessibility to enhance operational and strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to maintain a holistic understanding of data insights, ensuring they drive actionable improvements and meaningful outcomes.
- Lead initiatives related to reporting and analytics tools development, starting with the evaluation and potential implementation of a software development analytics tool to improve visibility into engineering efficiency and outcomes.
Driving Process & Organizational Improvements
- Work closely with R&D Operations colleagues, QA Managers, and R&D Department Leads to continuously improve ways of working across the R&D organization.
- Lead internal process development initiatives according to R&D priorities and your own interests, act as owner for selected processes.
- Actively collaborate with different stakeholders across the organization to identify new development opportunities that will help R&D to reach the set goals.
- Advocate for data-driven decision-making across R&D.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in engineering or product function role with understanding of software development processes and metrics
- Strong project and change management skills – ability to collaborate across teams and gain buy-in.
- Proven ability to drive organizational changes, improve processes and develop reporting in software development context.
- Experience in implementing or using software development analytics tools is considered as an advantage.
- Proficiency in tools like Power BI and Jira, or the ability to learn them quickly.
- Proactive mindset – ability to take initiative, drive progress independently, and move projects forward without strict top-down guidance.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English.
