The Role:
Our site in Franklin, MA is seeking a R&D Media Scientist to join our team. This individual will support adsorbent development & new product development. The focus for this individual is developing, and scaling new R&D-based technology, and advancing it to the productization of new air filtration solutions for the removal of low-concentration contaminants in technology-driven industries.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead product/ process development efforts for new media
- The individual will develop new adsorbents, impart new treatments to adsorbents, and work with R&D, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to test, validate, and release new media. Work with manufacturers (internal and external) and suppliers in the development/ selection of functional components and scaling technologies from lab to production to meet customer needs. Design and execution of DOE for scale-up with vendors
- Documents, prepares, and presents technical data and results in technical program reviews for internal and external customers
- Staying abreast of the latest technology, and attending trade shows and conferences
- Be an internal consultant to other parts of the organization in the area of expertise
What We Seek:
- Ph.D. or M.S. in chemical or environmental engineering or a related discipline with preferred relevant experience of 5+ years. Chemistry experience preferred
- Proven track record of developing and scaling up adsorbents and/or processes
- Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and principles
- Strong interpersonal skills and outstanding communication and documentation skills in oral and written English and desire to be an important contributor to a cross-functional development team
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems with a sense of urgency. Excellent problem-solving skills, and analytical mindset with a passion for innovation, invention, and excellence.
- Experience in semiconductor industry applications is desired, but not required
