Job Description
Objective:
This role is responsible for leading and executing the development strategies and technical agendas of innovation, renovation, improvements and cost optimization projects for Mexico Portfolio in accordance with good practices, regulatory standards, food safety and quality standards, ensuring the technical feasibility.
This position is also the leader of the product development team in Guadalajara Plant.
2 Key Activities/ Deliverables:
1. Manage the agenda of short and long-term developments - Innovation, ESG, VE (Value Engineering), Supply Security.
2. Lead the technical agenda locally, ensuring the cascading of existing programs in IZ and through partnerships with suppliers.
3. Responsible for managing resources (people, assets and training) to ensure project delivery.
4. Lead technical agenda of development of new suppliers and / or ingredients and / packagings to ensure business continuity (Supply security).
5. Ensure that new products and/or reformulations comply with local legislation, KHC guidelines, and consumer acceptance.
6.Be responsible for building and managing the R&D Budget (ZBB).
7. Number of Reports: 3-4
Competencies (experiences/ Education):
Bachelor's Degree or higher Degree in Food technologies or Engineering,Chemistry, Pharmacy or related technical field.
8-years experience R&D leadership
English advanced
Spanish basic knowledge
Standard MS Office tools knowledge is a must
Skills (Knowledge/ Capabilities):
Cross-functional leadership skills and ability to inspire and manage teams
Proven ability to plan and manage own work within a technical area
Ability to manage and communicate with stakeholders, including those from non-technical backgrounds
Ability to interpret data
