Job Description
The position of R&D Development Specialist sits in the MultiServe Black Coffee Program team. This team delivers Beans, Roast & Ground and Instant products. It is a very diverse team that helps each other learn, grow and develop. Just how we like it! As an R&D Development Specialist you will be asked to lead optimization and roll-out projects for these categories. For this, we don’t just need you to be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. Know that you’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain. With this said, we like you to take responsibility over the following tasks:
- Lead medium complex projects in a cross functional project team and deliver against a set of R&D deliverables
- Develop, reformulate or roll-out products matching a product brief
- Apply a set of product development skills like all aspects of pilot plant and scaling up to full production in the factory, manage specification creation and shelf life testing
- Communicate clearly within the category team and towards stakeholders
Qualifications
We are looking for a passionate product developer with a can-do mentality and a drive for excellence. Someone that holds themselves accountable and doesn’t shy away from responsibility. Given the nature of the role we are looking for someone who can autonomously lead medium complex projects. We thrive in diverse teams and look for people that appreciate that as much as we do. What is needed for this role:
- A degree in Food Science or Food Technology
- 2-4 years of relevant working experience
- Eager to learn and develop yourself within the Global R&D Team
- Willingness to travel as needed for project deliverables like trials
- A creative mindset to explore possibilities beyond the status quo
- Comfort with working in a high-paced dynamic environment
