Location: Remote with expected work hours to be a set schedule between 7am - 7pm Central
Daily Responsibilities:
  • Accepting and processing assigned 835 batches
  • Correcting remittance errors within 835 batches
  • Posting Self-Pay remittances to Guarantor/Patient accounts
  • Manually post EOBs from EFT and paper checks along with denials and all other pertinent follow up information
  • Closes each batch by verifying all payments have been entered and control totals match
  • Understand insurance Recoupments and post according to 835 or paper check EOB with correct payment codes
  • Post unidentified payments to correct account
  • Research unidentified payments
  • Work unmatched 835’s (includes missing payments)
  • Works any items assigned by Lead and Manager
Skills and Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience reading EOBs 
  • At least 1 years of Revenue Cycle Management experience
  • Have knowledge of Primary, Secondary, and tertiary insurances
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral, with people from diverse backgrounds, while providing outstanding customer service
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly adapt to and proficiently navigate diverse software applications required to manage assigned tasks
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement when needed
  • Detail oriented with time management and analytical skills
  • Be a self-starter and quick learner
  • Work well independently and as a team
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
