Position summary:
The Regal Rexnord Business System (RBS) is a holistic approach to increasing profitable growth through customer focus and optimal efficiency in our operations. RBS relies heavily on continuous improvement tools to transform our businesses and meet strategic and financial objectives.
The position will support the RBS Site Leader by executing RBS actions identified in the site's CI roadmap and collaborate with operation’s team in the effective application of Regal Rexnord Business System tools in site operations. As a part of the operational excellence initiative, this role will impact results & culture by partnering with the Site’s RBS leadership. The position will collaborate with the manufacturing & operations team in prioritizing continuous improvement actions while focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost.
Key Responsibilities:
- Works with Operations’ team in executing the 1-3 year Continuous Improvement Roadmap for the site, focusing on key performance initiatives of Safety and Sustainability, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth.
- Go hand in hand with the operations team to work on daily management actions & support RBS Site leader & Operations’ leader in following up the actions.
- Effective implementation of 6S & Visual Management at the facility.
- Closely work with the Site RBS leader to align the sites' RBS Vision with Site’s 3 year Ci roadmap.
- Support RBS Site Leader in conducting Lean training and implementation of a Lean toolkit: value stream mapping, pull systems, Kanban, SMED, Kaizen, Heijunka, etc.
- Supporting the operation’s team in identifying, diagnosing, and solving problems utilizing a fact-based, team-oriented, and structured problem-solving approach during daily management.
- Presents CI status on a weekly / monthly basis to the operation's team.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field;
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified/Trained in Lean/Six Sigma or equivalent experience.
- ~ 5-7 years of work experience in a Manufacturing Organization.
- Mandatory Proficiency in below CI tools:
- 6S & Visual Management.
- Gemba & Daily Management.
- Experience on using any Problem Solving Technique(PDCA/DMAIC/A3)
- PFMEA knowledge.
- Strong system and office software knowledge in Microsoft Office suite.
- Optional Proficiency in below CI tools(Preferred):
- Value Stream Mapping Implementation, especially in the Manufacturing Environment.
- Understanding of Standard Work(Industrial Engg. Tools) & lean layout concepts in Manufacturing Process Flow.
- Overall Equipment Effectiveness improvement hands-on experience.
- Understanding of 3-5 day Kaizen Events or proven experience of facilitating cross-functional time-bound lean projects.
- Exposure to a Continuous Improvement roadmap from Policy Deployment/Annual Operating Plans TTI(Target to Improve)s.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree preferred (MS Engineering, MBA)
- Preferable to have experience in using SMED, Kanban/Replenishment systems, PFMEA, and TPM.
- Preferable to have the additional experience of facilitating 3-5 days of Kaizen events to produce transactional improvements (financial, service, sales, etc.).
- Experience with implementing business systems like the Regal Rexnord Business System (RBS) or similar lean management principles.
- Preferable to have experience in working software like Igrafx, and Microsoft Visio.
- Manage a robust Regal Business System review process for selecting, scoping, and prioritizing improvement initiatives (i.e. Policy Deployment, CI Roadmap, Kaizens, Projects, and CI Talent) to achieve goals.
