RBS Activation and Perfect Digital Store Data & Analytics Lead (Pet Nutrition)
This role is supporting the Shepherd/Digital First Transformation Program, and as a result, has an anticipated program end date of December 31st, 2026. Throughout your time in this role, we will have focused discussion around your development in support of your Best Next Move following the completion of this project. Should you be unsuccessful in securing an alternative role, your role may be at risk of redundancy. Should this occur, you may be eligible to receive separation benefits consistent with Company policies and practices.
Join Mars Pet Nutrition’s dynamic Digital First program as the RBS Activation and Perfect Digital Store Data & Analytics Lead, a pivotal role driving the digital transformation of our fastest-growing category. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead the development and scaling of data and analytics products that unlock the full potential of Retailer Business Solutions (RBS) and digital commerce on a global scale. You will collaborate across functions and regions to empower data-driven decision-making and deliver measurable business impact in a purpose-driven, innovative environment.
As a key member of the Pet Nutrition RBS Product Leadership Team, you will combine deep technical expertise with strategic vision to shape the future of digital commerce capabilities, working closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to accelerate growth and enhance user-centric experiences.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in data and analytics (preferably within the CPG industry), with a strong focus on digital commerce, marketing, and consumer behavior
- Proven leadership in building and managing high-performing data and analytics teams
- Strong track record of delivering scalable analytics products and translating business needs into technical solutions
- Expertise in dCommerce, sales, marketing, and media domains with experience managing external data vendors and analytics service providers
- Exceptional storytelling and communication skills to engage and educate non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive results in a complex matrixed organization
- Solid project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of key external third-party data sources, first-party data, and associate surveys relevant to CPG and retail
- Nice-to-haves: Experience with large-scale transformational programs, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), advanced analytics, machine learning, and data governance
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Lead the delivery of a comprehensive data & analytics product strategy for RBS Activation and Perfect Digital Store aligned with Pet Nutrition’s growth vision
- Partner with global and regional business teams to embed RBS D&A capabilities that drive growth, market share, and user-centric outcomes
- Collaborate with Connected Commerce, Sales, and Marketing teams to enhance data-driven decision-making and digital maturity
- Design and implement scalable analytics solutions aligned with product roadmaps and business objectives
- Drive product adoption across operating entities through effective launch support and change management
- Develop and execute a robust data strategy ensuring effective data collection, storage, and utilization to support growth initiatives
- Focus relentlessly on value creation by identifying opportunities for efficiency and impact through advanced analytics
- Lead and nurture a high-performing D&A team, fostering collaboration, skill development, and cross-functional partnerships
- Define and monitor KPIs to measure product success and business impact
- Communicate complex data concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and provide training to product teams
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and governance standards, mitigating risks related to data accuracy, security, and integrity
