Key Responsibilities:
- Provide bespoke ratings insight during client presentations
- Facilitate internal discussions on ratings between various teams
- Lead advisory mandates, guiding clients to obtain external ratings
- Act as a technical expert on external ratings, rating agencies and capital structure optimization
Role Description: The role would suit an individual currently working in a bank Ratings Advisory team or indeed at one of the ‘big-3’ rating agencies (S&P, Moody’s or Fitch) as a corporate ratings analyst. You will partner with senior Ratings Advisory team members initially, progressing to producing your own independent rating opinions and leading the execution of corporate ratings mandates for ING clients.
Core Tasks:
- Support senior team members in live execution situations
- Contribute to the production of Ratings Advisory Presentations (RAPs) and manage junior resources
- Perform corporate ratings analysis from first principles with benchmarking to rated peers
- Develop rating-specific content for client presentations
Candidate Profile:
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Degree with a numerical focus.
Desirable:
- Accountancy/CFA qualification.
Experience:
Essential:
- 7 years’ + corporate ratings experience of some substance gained within a ratings agency or banking environment
- Strong financial modelling and presentation skills, high-level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and – importantly – real exposure to live execution environments
