The JCC Ranch Camp is seeking a flexible rentals and retreats coordinator to work select weekends from August – October to lead a team in creating high quality and memorable events for all rental groups.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise logistics, audio, visual, other vendors, and support participants to ensure a successful execution of events.
- Manage and assign tasks to rental assistant and program team to ensure all event details are being executed correctly.
- Act as the main point of contact between rental groups and camp/JCC to execute the activities outlined in the client contract, support operational and programmatic elements of the retreat, and address issues as they arise to ensure a smooth event.
- Assist in setup chairs, tables, and other equipment needed for the given event.
- Ensure all spaces are clean and orderly before guests arrive.
- Complete a walk through with the client at the end of their retreat to assess damages and report to Assistant Director
- Ensure campus is turned over and cleaned after the conclusion of each event by providing housekeeping in all living and program spaces.
- Provide occasional camp programming, including but not limited to tie dye, arts and crafts, dancing, and s’mores, to rental groups.
- Ensure the kitchen staff team has appropriate info and staffing for meal preparation and clean up as needed.
- Attend and monitor activities to ensure client satisfaction
- Show flexibility and adaptability in a fast paced, often stressful, and ever-changing environment.
- Schedule rentals assistants and program teams to ensure event runs smoothly and hours are tracked correctly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Working Environment
Physical Demands: This job requires the incumbent to have operative auditory and visual functioning. Employee must also be able to walk upwards of two to eight (2 - 8) miles each day, including use of stairs and uneven terrain. The employee must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs. Employee may also stand, sit in chairs or on the ground, run, and swim. Employee will also use their hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Work Environment: Working conditions may include being in indoor, often time’s loud spaces and spending extended time outdoors under the sun. Must have the ability to work in a hectic, sometimes stressful environment while maintaining customer service standards.

- Must be high-energy, enthusiastic, creative, and open-minded!
