Job Description
Shriners Children’s Chicago is looking for a full-time Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging examinations for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This may include fractures, diseases, and abnormalities of patient anatomy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that a quality radiographic image is produced.
- Works closely with radiologists and physicians who interpret images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury.
- Responsible for communication and documentation of patient images.
- Maintain communication with patients, parents, and medical personnel.
- Assesses orders for accuracy and clarifies with provider prior to imaging, if necessary (correct patient, correct CPT code, correct body part, correct side, correct views).
- Practices appropriate radiation safety as designated in Federal and State Radiation Control Regulations. Practices A.L.A.R.A at all times.
- Ensures equipment is properly functioning and reports any potential problems or malfunctions to the appropriate contact(s).
Required:
- Associates Degree Radiologic Technology
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Radiologic Technologist license in state of practice
Preferred:
- One year pediatric and/or orthopedic radiology experience
- CT/MRI certerfication
The pay range for this position is $33.47 - $50.22.
Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.Skills Required

- One year of pediatric and/or orthopedic radiology experience
