Under the direction of the Department Director, supervision of the Radiology Supervisor, and in collaboration with the radiologists, performs advanced technical diagnostic imaging procedures and related activities utilizing age-specific criteria according to department standards. Serves as a customer service representative to patients, their families, the public, and the medical staff. Participates in quality control and organizational improvement activities.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Coursework/Training - Graduate of a program in radiologic technology accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or Completion of a program in radiologic technology approved by the Radiologic Technology Certification Committee (RTCC) of the CA Radiologic Health Branch.
  • California Radiologic Technologist upon hire. 
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. 
  • National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience as a hospital-based radiographer.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Skills Required

  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program (JRCERT) or program approved by CA RTCC
  • California Radiologic Technologist license upon hire
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire
  • National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire
