RADIOLOGY TECH- PRN- Carlsbad

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• • Works for Multiple physicians
  • Must be able to work and travel to Artesia and Carlsbad
  • Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic imaging examinations according to department protocols.
  • Analyze imaging, synthesize imaging information and medical history, and document proper information for physician.
  • Assume responsibility for safety, mental and physical comfort of patient while in the care of the technologist.
  • Assist with daily operations of the department
  • Maintain diagnostic equipment and work area, and maintains adequate supplies.
  • Use independent judgment during patient exam to accurately differentiate normal and pathologic findings.
  • Order and stock supplies for AGH material department.
  • Purge and maintain disposal log for plain film exams.
  • Assist Clinical assistants as time allows between exams.

ENVIROMENTAL CONDITIONS: Work environment consists of daily patient contact, which may include exposure to blood, or other body fluids.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:    

• Education – Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology.
• Work Experience – N/A
• Training- N/A
• License/Certification – ARRT and State of New Mexico certifications; current compliance with CME requirements for specialty(ies) as appropriate.
