To provide patient appointment scheduling and customer service functions with a personable and professional manner. These functions include scheduling appointments, patient reception, appointment check-in, insurance verification and other related duties as assigned. This work may vary in percentage of time per function, location, and schedule.
Schedule: 1.0 FTE - 40 hrs/weekly: M-F 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM **Must be an hour within location**
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: None
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in a personable and professional manner
- Ability to respond patiently and effectively to questions asked by patients, family, providers and staff
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn and adapt to new software
- Working knowledge of HIPAA guidelines
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a fast-paced healthcare setting with patients, families and healthcare personnel
- Ability to organize and prioritize work independently with strong attention to detail and critical thinking
- Competency in medical terminology and health care business environment
- Ability to remain flexible and adapt to accommodate changes in work requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Two years post-secondary education in Health Care or Business Administration is preferred.
Experience:
- Healthcare scheduling is preferred, five years is strongly preferred
- EPIC experience strongly preferred
