Produces high quality images for interpretation by physicians that meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Radiology Departments. Requires competence, as determined by competency assessments, in a variety of imaging equipment and technology. Practices proper safety guidelines for themselves, support personnel and patients. Fosters teamwork through effective communication. Ensures high level of service to patients through proper communication, technique, and safety guidelines. Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times and lengths. Perform other functional duties as assigned to assure efficient and optimal patient care. May be asked to perform collection and analysis on biological specimens, e.g. blood and urine to aid in diagnosis and treatment of patients.

QualificationsQualifications:
Requires a graduate of an accredited radiography program.
Additional Qualifications:
Organized, efficient and multifunctional. Ability to work independently. Requires excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates effective communication. Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths and respond to an on-call pager which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends. Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
License or Certifications:
ARRT certified in Radiography Additional certifications may be required and determined by Radiology leadership.
Appropriate state licensure from the state in which the candidate practices (if the state requires licensure).
BLS certified
