POSITION SUMMARY
The Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. Performs exams in the North 1 & 2 Medical-Surgical units, ICU, and surgical units, using fixed and portable imaging equipment. Performs routine and advanced imaging exams on outpatients, inpatients and ED patients. Performs patient care assessments and patient care duties as needed, to insure the safety and well-being of patients in his/her care. Ensures the quality control of imaging equipment and radiation safety of patients, visitors and workers.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) licensure required
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) licensure strongly preferred.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Current CA Fluoroscopy license required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Venipuncture certification strongly preferred.
Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or Completion Certificate from a Radiological Technology Program required.
Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to physically lift, maneuver and/or manipulate patients and equipment.
Manual dexterity to operate equipment controls and switches.
Demonstrated ability to work and remain calm under stressful conditions.
Skills Required
- Current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) licensure
- Current CA Fluoroscopy license or obtain within 6 months of hire
