Astra Radiology is a specialised radiology clinic offering a range of imaging modalities at our seven sites which includes Allevia Hospital. ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a varied role offering exposure to theatre work, the option to work in Mammography or develop new skills in this area, and the chance to build meaningful patient relationships while delivering high-quality imaging services to both hospital and community patients.

Responsibilities include

  • Delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging in line with IDX NZ protocols
  • Working efficiently across RIS and PACS systems within a fast-paced environment
  • Maintaining strict adherence to radiation safety standards
  • Supporting radiologists with procedures, including sterile technique where required
  • Providing imaging support within theatre settings
  • Participating in or training in Mammography if of interest
  • Demonstrating excellent communication skills to ensure outstanding patient care and strong team collaboration

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in General Radiography is essential
  • Current licensing and registrations; this includes registration with the NZMRTB, hold a current practicing certificate and be eligible to work in New Zealand.
  • Qualifications in Medical Imaging (Bachelor of Science or equivalent)
  • A passionate and "can-do" attitude towards work
  • A skilled communicator, who leads by example and focuses on creating a positive team morale
  • Flexibility to participate in rostered shifts, including afterhours, on-call, theatre, and weekend work
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent accuracy organisation and time management skills
