Job Description
Join Rockwell Automation as a Record to Report Intern in our Global Finance Operations team.
This paid internship offers a practical opportunity to gain hands-on experience across two key areas of the Record to Report process: Fixed Assets and General Ledger. You will work with experienced finance professionals, support operational accounting activities, and contribute to process simplification through automation, Power Query, Power BI, and Copilot-driven solutions.
This internship is a paid hybrid position based in Katowice, Poland. You will report to the Junior R2R Manager.
Your Responsibilities:
- Support the capital project lifecycle, including appropriation requests and project closing activities.
- Help with fixed asset movements and master data updates in SAP.
- Support fixed asset accounting operations, including month-end close activities, reporting, and reconciliations.
- Participate in physical inventory count activities and support follow-up analysis.
- Prepare reports, analyze data, and help transform accounting information into practical business insights.
- Support audit documentation, process reviews, and selected project activities, including M&A-related activities, where applicable.
General Ledger
- Support daily General Ledger accounting activities and selected Record to Report processes.
- Help prepare and post journal entries under guidance.
- Perform basic account reconciliations and help investigate discrepancies.
- Contribute to month-end close activities and reporting tasks.
- Support payroll-related accounting processes and documentation.
- Prepare audit support documentation and assist with internal control-related activities.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Active student status.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- MS Excel knowledge (pivot tables, advanced formulas)
- Interest in finance, accounting, and automation solutions.
- Legal work and stay permits in Poland.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Basic knowledge of Power Query, Power BI, Copilot, or a strong willingness to develop in these areas.
- First experience with finance or accounting gained through studies, projects, internships, or student organizations.
- Curiosity about process improvement and the ability to look for smarter, simpler ways of working.
