American Refrigeration Supplies, Inc. is a wholesale distributor of A/C and heating equipment, accessories and supplies and has been serving our customers for 85 years. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven A/R Specialist at our Corporate Phoenix office. This position is full-time (typically 8:00 am - 5:00 pm)
About the position:
To provide administrative support functions for the credit department such as collections of account receivables from customers/clients, resolving customer billing issues, and reducing account delinquency.
- Review open accounts for collection efforts
- Making outbound collection calls in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations
- Resolves client-billing problems
- Utilize internal systems daily to post payments, including Vendor Portal System
- Set new or update customer billing accounts
- Cross Train and Assist AR Tax Specialist
- Reduce accounts receivable delinquency, in a timely manner
- Collect customer payments in accordance with payment due dates
- Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and review with management
- Review and monitor assigned accounts and all applicable collection reports
- Provide timely follow-up on payment arrangements
- Coordinate correspondence to customers via email, mail, calls etc. to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
- Work with internal teams to resolve any issues to support collections
- Other duties as assigned
- A minimum of a High School Diploma is required. Accounting Degree, preferred.
- Employee must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must be able to communicate well with others.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with accuracy.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Strong computer knowledge including MS Office applications.
- Basic typing/10-key skills.
- A minimum of 1-2 years account payable and business to business collections within a high-volume wholesale distributor.
