Broadcom’s Mainframe Software Division (MSD #BroadcomSoftware) is looking for an excellent software engineer with a passion for building high quality applications using agile practices to join our development team working on the solutions in the area of Event Management and Automation.
Mainframe systems are at the heart of the digital economy, with 80% of the world’s structured corporate data residing or originating on mainframes, and 55% of all enterprise applications hitting the mainframe to complete transactions. Our industry-leading products are critical to many Fortune 1000 companies.
We are looking for a team member to contribute to the workload automation solution area. The products in the solution area include backend assembler language components running on the mainframe, with Java and C applications that interact with the backend and provide information to feed frontend components with Open Telemetry events. Applied experience with CI/CD practices and tools for orchestration, deployment, and testing is a plus.
This full-stack development position is responsible for creating, testing, ensuring the quality of and maintaining a product or product line. The R&D Software Engineer 4 will perform complex code modification, testing, and debugging tasks, as well as provide high level analysis related to software design and development. The person in this role is expected to act as a technical lead within a small team, advising, mentoring and coaching more junior developers and partnering with stakeholders such as Product Owners, Solution Architects etc.

Full stack developer
Experience in JAVA, Spring Framework, REST API, Web Services
Experience in design and development of Micro-Services and APIs.
Strong Knowledge in Object Oriented Analysis & Design patterns
Expert level knowledge of Data structures and Algorithms
Familiarization with container technologies (Docker and/or Kubernetes)
Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps
Experience in Mainframe concepts desired
Experience working on or with Automation tools
Angular or React experience a plus, however, not required

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $108,000 - $172,800
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
