We are seeking a versatile, high-caliber Senior Software Engineer to join our mission-critical R&D team. In this role, you will focus on core development—designing, coding, and optimizing software within our Output Management portfolio, specifically working on our exciting Spool product.
Spool is a vital solution that securely manages business-critical print and report delivery requirements across networks, platforms, and locations. It ensures nonstop enterprise operations by collecting reports from multiple sources (including z/OS, Windows, Linux, and UNIX) and delivering robust spooling, print capabilities, and data transformation.
Responsibilities :
Full Lifecycle Development: Plans, designs, develops, and tests complex, enterprise-grade software systems and core application tools.
Advanced Problem Solving: Applies broad engineering theories and extensive experience to architect innovative solutions to complex problems.
Domain Expertise: Serves as a subject matter expert with deep functional breadth across core software systems and complementary fields.
Analytical Judgment: Evaluates complex scenarios with interconnected variables, selecting optimal methods and evaluation criteria to drive results.
Operational Autonomy: Independently determines tactical and strategic priorities, defining methods and procedures for new assignments.
Forward Planning: Consults with senior leadership to align team execution with long-range organizational goals.
Technical Leadership: Guides the workgroup's engineering excellence through deep technical specialization.

Required Technical Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree (or global equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of mainframe development experience—or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of related experience.
Experience using Source Code Management tools such as Endevor and GitHub.
Proven hands-on expertise in the following – HLASM, IBM C, z/OS, IPCS, TSO/ISPF .
Java including the Spring Framework .
Technical knowledge of the AFP, Metacode, PDF, and PCL document and page-description formats is a plus .
Solid knowledge of Unix/USS, SMP/E, z/OSMF, TCP/IP, SNA, XDC, Endevor .
Experience in Test Automation (one or more: Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript)
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Jenkins and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and bug-tracking software (e.g., Rally).
