R&D Team LeadYour role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product, and/or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP). Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Business Distribution Solutions Division in Bangalore, India
You will be mainly accountable for:
Define and design the overall embedded system architecture based on RTOS platforms, with basic exposure to Linux-based systems where required.
Provide technical leadership in embedded application development and low-level driver development on RTOS platforms (e.g., FreeRTOS, RTXC Quadros).
Contribute to modular and scalable software design, with basic understanding of microservices concepts for future Linux-based integration.
Design and implement inter-task communication mechanisms such as queues, semaphores, mutexes, and event groups; with basic knowledge of Linux IPC (sockets, shared memory).
Support integration between RTOS-based systems and Linux-based systems (e.g., gateways, edge devices).
Participate in system bring-up, hardware–software integration, and debugging using embedded tools and collaborate with hardware, firmware, and system teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.
Review code and design to ensure quality, reliability, and adherence to coding standards (e.g., MISRA C).
Gain and apply basic knowledge of Linux environment, scripting, and application interaction where required.
Qualifications for the role:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics / Electrical / Computer Science / Embedded Systems or related field
5–10 years of experience in embedded software development
Strong programming skills in C (mandatory) and good understanding of Embedded C concepts and hands-on experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS / RTXC Quadros or similar)
Good understanding of microcontroller architectures (ARM Cortex-M or similar) with experience in debugging using JTAG/SWD, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
Strong knowledge of embedded system design, memory management, and real-time constraints
Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and build tools and knowledge of coding standards (e.g., MISRA C) and good software development practices
Experience in system integration and troubleshooting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
