This position reports to:
R&D Department/Local Unit Lead__
Your role and responsibilities
Develop or create products, systems, services or technologies for ABB´s Business Units by leading and managing the execution of one or more R&D projects to meet projects targets. Coordinate work of local and cross-functional project team/s. Lead in partnership with local business managers, steering group, product management and external parties and ensure value creation.
The work model for the role is: onsite
Main tasks:
- Focusing on organizing and coordinating of a project
- Leading the projects, allocating project tasks, motivating, and monitoring resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones
- Following up the project from its beginning to the delivery
- Break down of project requirements for implementation
- Managing a project changes and claims according to defined processes
- Tracking project cost and financials and report deviations
- Taking care about prototyping - including planning
- Identifying risks
- Creating reports
- Communication across the project team
- Being part of international company and team
- Manages relationships with stakeholders, internal functions, other R&D teams in Technology Center and/or Corporate Research Centers and external relevant parties (e.g. customers, academia).
Qualifications for the role
- Proven experience in electro-mechanical system design and development
- Understanding of complex mechanical systems including power circuits, LV/MV Switchgears based on IEC standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Good command of English language (both written and spoken)
- Interest to develop and profile yourself as project manager
- Good orientation in IEC standards
- Be target oriented
