As an R&D Project Manager, you'll play a key role in guiding innovative projects from early research through development and commercialization. You will work alongside talented scientists, engineers, and business leaders to deliver solutions that make a real impact.
What You'll Do- Lead exciting R&D projects from concept through development, scale-up, and implementation.
- Partner with technical and business teams to define project goals, success measures, and deliverables.
- Build and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Collaborate across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams.
- Identify and navigate technical risks, uncertainties, and changing priorities.
- Facilitate project reviews, decision-making sessions, and key project milestones.
- Monitor progress, resolve obstacles, and keep projects moving forward.
- Manage scope changes and evolving requirements while maintaining alignment with business objectives.
- Ensure projects meet safety, quality, regulatory, and governance standards.
- Communicate project updates and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Science, or another technical field.
- Experience managing projects within an R&D, product development, engineering, or technical environment.
- Ability to thrive in dynamic environments where priorities evolve and innovation drives decision-making.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
- Experience with tools such as MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Confluence, or similar platforms.
- Master's degree in a technical discipline.
- PMP, CAPM, Agile, or similar project management certification.
- Experience with stage-gate product development processes.
- Background in regulated industries such as chemicals, pharmaceutical, medical devices, or automotive.
- Familiarity with experimentation, data-driven development, or Design of Experiments (DOE).
