Job Description

You are responsible for

  • Planning, organizing and managing project resources and staff to deliver products and services per the contract
  • Forming and leading the project team from all related functions that include R&D, Research, Quality, Manufacturing, Commercial to deliver project success on time and on target.
  • Organizing and communicating project and product requirements between groups, teams, stakeholders and management. Ensuring requirements are clearly defined, translated, executed and delivered in the project 
  • Responsible for KPIs projections, tracking, and reporting for assigned initiatives
  • Reporting project status regularly to key stakeholders and obtaining stakeholders’ approvals for completing each key milestone and major plan changes with discipline
  • Documenting, communicating, mitigating, monitoring and escalating project risks as appropriate. Managing corresponding risk response strategy and actions within the project lifecycle
  • Delivering the quality initiatives via project and product development execution
  • Supporting continuous improvement and compliance processes and initiatives according to corporate policies and procedures
  • Contributing to best practices and document lessons learned
  • Managing Change Management procedures as appropriate
  • Maintaining awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on relevant G&B Product Development
  • The position requires a high degree of flexibility and the ability to work both independently and within a team. Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, analytical and communication skills are necessary to successfully deliver Philips G&B products and present Philips G&B message to individuals and groups in a professional manner

You are a part of

The Philips Grooming & Beauty, Philips Innovation Centre (PIC) PMO Team and will lead R&D NPI projects and engineering activities. These activities require a broad spectrum of skills/capabilities, from project management, innovation management, product development and engineering. You are also responsible for End-to-end development of products and solutions for Grooming and Beauty Global/Regional Organization via in-house/outsource product development model.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

Essential:

  • Bachelor/Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. business or engineering preferred)
  • 8+ years in engineering/R&D project management successfully leading large complex programs, projects, and initiatives with structured approach (e.g. PMP, Prince2, Agile)
  • 5+ years in leading a cross-cultural and geographically dispersed project team developing domestic appliances preferably grooming and beauty products
  • Subject Matter Expert in all aspects of Project Management plan-driven methodology, including Governance, Monitoring & Controlling, Scope Management, Schedule Management, Financial Management, Issue & Risk Management, Vendor, Contract, & Resources Management
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of electronics and mechanical design aspects of household products
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Ability to tailor information and pitch at differing levels of detail, especially presenting management information to assist with and enable decision making
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills to drive change & standardization across the businesses and markets
  • Strong interpersonal skills, result oriented self-starter with excellent communication and people skills, attention to detail and initiative
  • Fluent in English
  • Willing to travel

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 4 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
