About the Role:
As a recognized leader in airport logistics worldwide, we rely on advanced automation and control systems to keep baggage and cargo moving efficiently. We are looking for a talented PLC & Controls Engineer to support the deployment and evolution of our systems globally. You will play a pivotal role in connecting R&D to live operational performance, ensuring our innovations translate to seamless field execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commission and debug PLC-based automation systems during on-site installations and test phases
- Troubleshoot control systems and recommend changes to improve stability, efficiency, and performance
- Collaborate with software and mechanical teams to ensure seamless system integration
- Support the factory and service teams in understanding control logic and troubleshooting tools
- Update and maintain PLC code, HMI screens, and related documentation during system evolution
- Provide structured feedback to R&D to influence roadmap and feature improvements
Requirements:
- BSc or MSc in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or similar
- 3–7 years of experience in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley, etc.)
- Experience in commissioning automated machinery or industrial control systems
- Knowledge of motion control, safety PLCs, and fieldbus systems (Profinet, EtherCAT, etc.)
- Field-readiness and willingness to travel internationally (~10%)
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work cross-functionally
