Job Description:
Working within Mars' Pet Nutrition division, this role is dedicated to lead and deliver medium to large projects in the identified pipeline for Product and Technology Development/implementation of a new Process and Raw Materials in the sites (either Dry, C&T or Wet technologies) in order to maintain our portfolio of existing products by ensuring consistent delivery against key quality attributes, product performance and quality targets.
In this role, you'll work on...End-to-End Technical Leadership: You will manage medium-to-complex business projects from the initial product brief all the way to successful factory handover, ensuring all technical milestones are met on time.
Innovation & Product Deployment: Lead the design, translation, and implementation of new product innovations, renovations, and cost-efficiency initiatives. Your ultimate goal is to ensure all products hit their targets for nutrition, palatability, and overall performance.
Factory Trials & Scale-Up Strategy: You will be hands-on in the factory, designing and executing trial validation plans. By analyzing this data, you'll establish key equipment parameters, manage scale-up risks, and ensure a smooth introduction into the supply chain.
Seamless Operational Handover: Champion the transition from R&D to the factory floor. You will lead stakeholder handovers, provide initial training to the production teams, and define all product/process specifications.
Quality & Compliance Champion: Partner closely with our Quality & Food Safety teams to resolve any product incidents, implement rigorous standards, and ensure all documentation complies with legal and FSSC requirements.
4+ years of experience in research & development roles or similar positions in a manufacturing environment;
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related;
Advanced English required, this will be tested during the selection process;
Proven experience in conducting innovation projects including implementation activities.
Good knowledge about Q&FS in food or pet food industry.
