Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and innovative R&D Process Designer to join our team in Zhangjiagang, China. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing research and development processes that drive efficiency, quality, and innovation across our organization. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to translate complex technical requirements into streamlined, scalable processes that support our research initiatives and operational excellence.

  • Design and develop R&D processes and workflows that enhance efficiency, reduce cycle time, and improve overall quality standards
  • Analyze existing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization using data-driven methodologies
  • Conduct root cause analysis on process failures and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Create comprehensive process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions that are clear and accessible to all stakeholders
  • Utilize process simulation software and data management tools to model and validate process designs before implementation
  • Lead and support process improvement initiatives, including Lean and Six Sigma projects, to drive continuous enhancement
  • Collaborate with R&D teams, quality assurance, manufacturing, and other departments to ensure process alignment with organizational goals
  • Monitor process performance metrics and prepare analytical reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Ensure all designed processes comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Support the implementation and training of new processes across the organization
  • Participate in project management activities and contribute to cross-functional problem-solving efforts

Qualifications

**Required Skills and Experience:**

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in process design, process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related R&D environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights
  • Proficiency in process design methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma principles
  • Experience with process simulation software, CAD tools, or similar technical design platforms
  • Excellent documentation and technical writing skills with the ability to create clear, comprehensive SOPs and process documentation
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities and experience leading process improvement initiatives
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and statistical software
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and ISO standards

**Preferred Skills and Experience:**

  • Experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical, or laboratory environments
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and their integration with process workflows
  • Background in change management and process implementation
  • Advanced statistical analysis and modeling capabilities
  • Experience with regulatory compliance requirements in your industry
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and tools
  • Experience mentoring or training team members on process improvements
