Budget:
Responsible for the R&D Mechatronics Budget of his project: Consolidate, and manage the budget allocated to his project, ensuring alignment with his Hierarchical/Functional Manager.
Responsible for the R&D Mechatronics Headcount of his project: Ensure and monitor the allocation of headcount for the project, identification of HC needs & gaps, and needed equipment or investment.
Responsible for the A/B/C/D sample BOM Delivery.
Support operations to define, optimize and achieve their budget (quotation and investment) and manage quotation processes for his project (RFQ, outsourcing, test means).
Operations, Competency and R&D Mechatronics activities:
Accountable for the R&D Mechatronics Deliverables of his project to reach the A/B/C/D samples and ensure that DV/PV are on time, at the right maturity and cost, ensure reviews (Sample or Technical Reviews) are done to pass sample maturities and Engineering Gates are on time.
- In charge of the robust design for Manufacturing / Validation in line with the economic targets.
- Call/Consolidate all necessary design reviews and make sure that Technical/Design Reviews with other networks happen in a timely manner (Purchase, Industrial).
- Deliver all necessary deliverables requested by the Process and associated methods as for example (Architecture, DFMEA, DV/PV Spec, EOL Spec, C02 & 4R assessment....)
Accountable to establish a simple breakdown of the R&D activities to meet the On Time delivery.
Accountable for project optimization, ensure the coordination, the synchronization of the R&D Mechatronics Disciplines and other stakeholders.
Accountable to manage the QRQC for the R&D Mechatronics activities of his project and manage the critical items related to his projects to put the activities under control.
Represent the R&D Mechatronics function at the customer.
Interface with the customer for the R&D Mechatronics subjects of the project, break down and cascade internally customer requests and needs.
Report and escalate to his Hierarchical/Functional Managers when needed.
Efficiency:
Accountable for the R&D Mechatronics Efficiency Plan of his projects: Identify, implement, consolidate initiatives, ensuring alignment with his Hierarchical/Functional Managers.
Management of the contributors
Daily management of all R&D Mechatronics contributors, dedicated or not.
Assign to them the tasks or defined work packages.
Track the progress on the tasks/work packages and follow a back on track plan to reach on time delivery when needed.
