R&D Manager (Front End and Mobile)

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

• Lead, mentor, and grow multiple frontend and mobile engineering teams responsible for building next-generation iGaming user experiences. 
• Develop technical leadership within the teams, managing senior engineers and team leads while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. 
• Define and own the long-term vision for Delasport’s frontend and mobile architecture—across web, mobile apps, and shared component libraries. 
• Stay partially hands-on through architecture evaluations, code reviews for critical components, and participation in complex UI/UX design decisions. 
• Oversee delivery of responsive, modular, high-performance user interfaces for both desktop and mobile sports/casino products. 
• Establish frontend engineering standards covering architecture, security, accessibility, performance optimization, and coding best practices. 
• Ensure proper adoption of component-driven development, state management patterns, testing strategies, and cross-platform consistency. 
• Work closely with Designers, Product Managers, Backend Engineering, QA, and DevOps to deliver polished, scalable, and reliable frontend experiences. 
• Guide frontend modernization efforts—framework upgrades, CI/CD improvements, testing automation, and shared design system adoption. 
• Act as a key driver of development velocity and engineering excellence through modern tooling, automation, and observability. 

• Frontend Frameworks: Vue.js (2/3), React.js, Next.js, Nuxt.js 
• Mobile Technologies: React Native, Capacitor, Flutter (nice-to-have) 
• Architecture & Concepts: Microfrontends, modular design, component libraries, state management (Vuex, Pinia, Redux, Zustand) 
• Tooling & Build Systems: Webpack, Vite, Babel, TypeScript 
• Performance & Observability: Lighthouse, Sentry, Datadog, core web vitals optimization 
• UX & Design Systems: Storybook, Figma integration, UI component libraries 
• DevOps & Delivery: CI/CD pipelines, Git, containerized build processes, automated testing 

Who You Are: 

• 8+ years of frontend and/or mobile engineering experience building large-scale, user-facing applications. 
• 2–4+ years leading frontend/mobile teams or managing managers in fast-paced product environments. 
• Deep expertise in modern JS frameworks (Vue + React preferred) and mobile technologies (React Native). 
• Strong architectural background—component-driven architecture, microfrontends, shared libraries, and performance-oriented UI design. 
• Solid understanding of TypeScript, asynchronous programming, browser internals, and cross-platform rendering. 
• Proven success delivering polished, high-performance UIs with strict UX, reliability, and security standards. 
• Excellent communicator capable of aligning teams around a shared vision and collaborating effectively with design, backend, and product. 

Nice to have:

• Experience in iGaming, sportsbook, or high-volume customer-facing systems. 
• Knowledge of animation frameworks (Framer Motion, GSAP). 
• Experience with PWAs, offline-first architectures, or server-side rendering (SSR). 
• Exposure to accessibility (WCAG), localization frameworks, and multi-brand UI strategies.
