Description
Support R&D engineering activities related to product development, testing, and documentation. This role provides hands-on experience in prototyping, testing, data collection, and engineering documentation within a medical device development environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Product Development Support
- Assist with creation and revision of engineering drawings and CAD models
- Support basic prototyping and light assembly of development hardware
- Assist with engineering studies, data collection, and analysis
- Testing and Validation
- Execute test protocols and procedures under guidance
- Record and organize test data
- Assist in preparing test reports and summaries
- Documentation and Design Support
- Create and update engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Support development of assembly and process documentation in collaboration with engineers and technicians
Requirements
Position Qualifications:
Education:
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Completed at least one year of undergraduate study
Skills:
- Basic CAD experience (SolidWorks or similar)
- Basic programming experience (Python or similar is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a lab environment
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
Pay is $20/ hour, summer hours are Monday - Thursday, we would like to see if we can obtain someone to also work part-time during the school year
