PRIMARY TASKS – EMEA Technical Support
- Ensure timely completion of test programs and provide clear formal written recommendations regarding suitability of new internally or externally sourced adhesive and composites solutions for product launch. Including benchmarking against key competitive materials. This activity should provide clear identification of product differentiation against competitive materials, in order to drive focus on materials with key technical advantage for potential clients.
- Conduct part design and manufacturing proof of concept, to show practically the value added of using our solution for composite manufacturing.
- Support procurement of necessary testing equipment, tools and fixtures to fully equip the laboratory.
- Ensure timely completion, in coordination with the R&D specification testing team, detailed test programs of L&L adhesives and composite solutions for customer applications on relevant customer samples, including benchmarking against key competitive benchmarks wherever possible, and provide clear formal recommendations regarding the optimum L&L solution for each application.
- Support key client meetings to provide technical advice and support to the commercial organization for L&L products solutions.
- Conduct technical presentations to customers highlighting the key technical benefits and parameters of our systems. Assist customers in designing products to make best use of L&L technologies.
- Conduct product demonstrations at customer facilities, and support effective scale-up and use of L&L solutions at customers manufacturing and assembly plants.
MID TERM TO LONG TERM STRATEGY
- Provide expertise and insight regarding new product development opportunities, and support follow up with relevant internal R&D or external alliance partners.

- Competencies
- Extensive practical expertise in the testing of adhesives and composite materials (5 years plus)
- Composite manufacturing extensive experience (pre preg, RTM, thermoforming, autoclave, blader molding, vacuum bagging)
- Composite part and mold design
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong team player with robust facilitative people leadership skills
- Well organized, with good record retention practices
- Responsible and professional attitude to all aspects of work, from hygiene of working areas through to preparation / presentation of technical recommendations

- Degree in Materials Science, Composite Engineering, or related field
- Excellent English and French language skills
- Experience
