Job Description
•Senior-level professional or technical roles with broad and deep knowledge of at least one sub-system, as well as a broad product overview.
•Design and deliver software components as a member of a software project team.
•Execute module ownership responsibilities, including maintaining code integrity and quality, consulting on module extensions, and designing or implementing extensions.
•Accountable for leading smaller projects or providing specialist technical advice to management.
•Collaborate with software team, applications, and field team colleagues to troubleshoot problems and fulfill customer enhancement requests.
•Be aware of business needs, contribute to planning and execution to fulfill customer requirements, and positively contribute to Advantest business.
•Provide market or operational insights for better business solutions.
•Demonstrate strong organizational skills when working with cross-functional teams on requirements analysis, architecture, and high-level design.
•Assist the project manager by partially or fully taking on parts of project management processes, including planning and execution, with reliable judgment and guidance.
•Take on assignments that contribute to departmental initiatives, such as knowledge sharing.
•Contribute ideas and recommendations for improved operational or technical performance.
Requirements
•Extensive experience in software technology and processes.
•Passionate, driven, and self-motivated in core areas.
•Continually updates and upgrades software knowledge in areas such as C++, Java, Eclipse, Linux, and GUI design as required.
•Practices modern software methodologies and skills (OOA&D, RUP, etc.) to improve efficiency and quality.
•Takes responsibility for delivery and schedule, and shows initiative.
•Practices good teamwork by contributing to and supporting both own and other projects.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•General knowledge of the Automatic Test Equipment and IC industries.
•Good customer and application knowledge for assigned tasks.
•Strong communication and planning skills.
•Ability to make tactical judgments that are outside of established processes and procedures.
