The R&D Engineer is responsible for conducting experimental and analytical work, providing hands-on support for process and equipment development, and driving product performance improvements within semiconductor cleaning and high-purity process environments. The role partners with technicians, engineers, and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot equipment, enhance process reliability, and support the successful transfer of products and processes into production.
This position reports to the R&D Supervisor and is part of the Research & Development located in Benoi, Singapore and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Perform hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and modification of equipment, including valves, fittings, tubing systems, and instrumentation such as sensors, to ensure reliable system operation.
Support installation, commissioning, and readiness of equipment for R&D startup, qualification and scale-up activities.
Support development and qualification new cleaning recipe for advance filtration products and cleaning processes, in WEC and lithography applications.
Leverage understanding of semiconductor processes, particularly photolithography or wet cleaning processes, to support process development, troubleshooting, and application optimization.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of working either in R&D environments or Process and Equipment Role
Strong hands-on experience or familiarity with troubleshooting equipment,
Experience with semiconductor cleaning equipment, wet process systems, or high-purity fluid systems is highly preferred. Familiarity with chemical cleaning processes and process improvement work is preferred.
Strong problem-solving mindset with ability to work across both equipment and R&D development activities.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience in semiconductor photolithography or wet process cleaning environments, as well as development of cleaning processes through new chemistry
Apply programming capabilities (e.g., PLC) to support automation initiatives, including development of smart tools and enhancement of equipment functionality
