- To develop and document analytical methods as standard operating procedures
- To perform analytical methods in the characterisation of solvent samples
- To prepare samples and accurately quantify their compositions
- To assess and interpret results and data from analyses performed
- To manage the safe operation of analytical equipment
- To troubleshoot and problem solve issues with methods, processes and equipment
Requirements
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a relevant subject.
- 3 to 6 years of experience of working in a laboratory environment.
- Thorough understanding of chemical analysis methods, including but not limited to: GC-FID, GC-TCD, GC-MS, LC-MS, TIC/TOC, acid/base titration, KF titration, ICP-OES, FTIR.
- Expertise in chromatography is highly desirable
- Experience in mass spectrometry is beneficial
- Knowhow and experience in analysing and resolving complex sample matrices is preferred.
- Display the ability to critically assess data and literature to provide insight to the Research and technical teams when required.
- An expert communicator with the ability to report technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Demonstrate an ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- You should have fluent verbal and written English language skills.
