R&D Early Career Program Manager__
About the program
The ABB R&D Early Career Program is a two-year rotational program designed to develop technical problem-solving skills and leadership through advanced engineering courses and technical projects aligned with business objectives.
Participants begin with a July orientation, then complete four 6-month rotations within ABB's Electrification business area, focusing on roles such as continuous improvement, R&D, new product development, and manufacturing support across various locations.
The program includes over 150 hours of specialized training, with two accredited classes at top engineering schools. A dedicated program manager guides participants, and the program culminates in a capstone project and presentation.
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support business, collaborate with different teams, and contribute to the company's strategic objectives. Each day, you will gain knowledge by performing tasks as directed by the program manager/corresponding leader. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and participating in the local Trainee Program.
The work model for the role is: Onsite
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Completing a rotational program with the ABB Electrification business, rotating across R&D teams, with potential to rotate through a related function.
- Contributing to pioneering R&D efforts by developing and testing new engineering solutions, gaining hands-on experience with innovative technologies and advancing ABB’s research objectives.
- Participating in formal training to develop technical, functional, professional and leadership skills in preparation for future roles.
- Delivering the assigned tasks/projects within the assignment period.
Qualifications for the role
- You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering degree and will graduate between December 2026 and June 2026 or hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree with no more than 2 years of experience (internships are considered as experience).
- You enjoy solving technical problems and developing products and solutions.
- You have a desire to learn and grow from a diverse set of experiences and people.
- You foster a growth mindset, focusing on continual learning and improvement.
- You are excited to explore living/working in different parts of MX or US or globally. Relocation assistance is provided.
- You are at ease communicating in English (mandatory).
- You hold a current VISA valid in the USA
