Life as an R&D Intern:
The R&D Innovative Medicine Intern program provides each student with real-life hands-on experience, coaching and mentoring, networking opportunities, as well as the opportunity to meet people from various schools throughout the country. Each intern will be assigned to a single function with a specific project for the 3-month term.

Design & Implement Test Methods: Utilize engineering design and software skills to create and execute testing methods for our devices.
Test Execution: Perform testing according to established procedures and contribute to data analysis.
Fixture Design & Fabrication: Assist in the design and fabrication of test fixtures as needed.
Data Analysis: Contribute to the analysis of test results and identify areas for improvement. Communicate results to the broader team.
Provide other project support as needed.
Qualifications
Education:
Biomedical Engineering and related majors are preferred.
Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited University for the duration of an internship assignment pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree (or equivalent experience). For students pursuing their Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, candidates must have completed their sophomore year.
Minimum GPA of 2.8 is required.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., FI, H1-B status)
Preferred:
Students with CAD, excel, basic lab testing, basic engineering skills
Students with software skills
Students with an analytical mind, experience in technical communication, are self-starters, and are curious to learn
