In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the strategic technology direction by contributing your own ideas for identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative technology, software and solutions. Each day, you will assist the Research and Development (R&D) team by executing your assigned tasks and using technical knowledge in a structured way. You will also showcase your expertise by staying abreast of the state of the art and actively applying this knowledge.
This role is contributing to the Motion business IEC LV Motors division in Bangalore & Faridabad, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Collect inputs from all manufacturing locations and merge them into common requirements for ETP related development tasks and projects
Follow-up performance of current global engineering tools; Adept, OMS, PDM, CAD tools Make development proposals accordingly.
Ensure New product development projects and Product transfer projects provide efficient engineering tools and processes for all manufacturing locations
Follow-up and develop ETP competence globally- Documentation, training materials, trainings
Works as an independent and reliable contributor in R&D projects, requiring only limited supervision.
Performs a variety of tasks in the assigned area (e.g. mechanics, electronics, thermal, software), from concepts and requirements through design, implementation, integration, and testing, to technology transfer or maintenance and operations.
Demonstrates the ability to independently recognize problems and provide input to solutions. • Stays abreast of the state of the art (industry/academia) in own competence area as well as new and evolving technologies.
Qualifications for the role:
BE or B Tech, M. Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. with minimum 5 or more years of experience in rotating machines background.
Experience with PLM software - Teamcenter Experience with 3D design including use of NX, Solid works, or equivalent design platforms.
Participates constructively in working teams.
Actively collaborates with others for the achievement of common targets.
Communicates effectively, both on technical and general topics, within the team, with other teams and with management.
Familiar and have practical experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, SAP, and other applicable software.
Fluent in written, reading and verbal English
