Job Description:You will join our quantum technology team within the optical systems engineering department and
Develop optical and quantum communication components, modules, and systems
Perform systems engineering task in the context of satellite missions
Build, test and analyze laser/-optoelectronics setups in the laboratory
Interact and support customers regarding technical requirements and specifications
Master’s or PhD (preferred) degree in physics, photonics, optical engineering or related STEM fields
Several years of experience in the field of optical communications, laser physics or quantum physics/technology
Hands-on experience with lasers, opto-electronics, free-space and fiber optics
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Willingness to work in a team in multi-partner project structures
Willingness to actively engage with customers and international organizations
Fluent in English and German
