As a Quantitative Analyst Vice President part of the Home Lending line of business you have an exceptional ability to understand data relationships, can design data visual tools, and take initiative and ownership of data driven tasks. You understand the data model within the context of the technical environment and will design an environment to leverage the strengths of the technical environment. You are an excellent communicator who is eager to learn, endlessly curious, takes pride in hard work and can see a concept through from discovery to production.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform data discovery work to manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources to help develop various types of data-driven Home Lending products/initiatives.
- Build algorithms to make joining datasets without unique keys possible
- Think critically about headwinds facing the business and explore opportunities for analytics
- Partner with business to provide insightful analytics to improve processes
- Collaborate with team members, both to build out specific projects and to continuously teach and learn new technology and techniques
- Work independently with minimal supervision but high accountability
- Lead a team to reach department goals
- Develop a high performing team
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics / Statistics, Economics.
- 5+ years of data and analytics experience
- Functional industry experience in operations, marketing, credit/risk, technology, or finance
- Must have ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
- Technical knowledge of data infrastructure practices and tools
- Strong understand of data structure and strong SQL - experience building stored procedures and troubleshooting data quality issues
- Intermediate knowledge and experience using - Alteryx, SAS, and Python
- Experience working with Hadoop, Teradata, Oracle and Microsoft SQL DBs
- Adept at explaining and converting complex concepts into digestible information to be consumed by audiences of varying levels of expertise
- Experience with reporting technologies like Tableau, SSRS, Cognos a plus
- Intermediate knowledge of Machine Learning
- Proven excellence at formulating, understanding, and solving complex, non-routine quantitative problems
Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities
- 3 + Years mortgage experience preferred
