Job Summary:
As a Quant Analytics at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking- Data and Analytics, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the development and execution of code to define customer populations targeted in complex marketing campaigns.
  2. Oversee the design of functional specification documents used for campaign execution.
  3. Interact daily with marketers and project stakeholders on multiple projects to communicate and clarify requirements, results, and timelines.
  4. Assess information extracted from multiple data sources, resolve inconsistencies, and transform high-level information into a detailed technical specification document.
  5. Adhere to process adherence requirements and checkpoints for campaign execution.
  6. Distinguish between requestors' wants and needs, challenge assumptions in the programs, and recommend alternative solutions to technical and business-related problems.
  7. Develop code based on technical specifications to extract and process large volumes of customer and account data.
  8. Validate, audit, and test the output produced from documents to ensure that the programs meet the original request.
  9. Follow the department's code development and documentation procedures. Provide recommendations and feedback on how to improve or implement strong control procedures.
  10. Direct efforts with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate end-to-end process delivery.
  11. Provide support on ad hoc requests and special projects as assigned.


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • 5+ years extensive experience in developing Base SAS codes for manipulating large amounts of data and creating reports using procedures such as Proc Freq, Proc Format, Proc Sort, Proc SQL, and Proc Summary as well as traditional SAS data step programming.
  • Experience in requirement gathering and interacting with off-shore partners
  • Experience in database querying (Teradata / Snowflake)
  • A background in marketing operations, direct marketing or data analysis.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Solid understand of credit card marketing programs is desired.
  • Familiarity or experience in operations, direct marketing, and data analysis in a banking or financial institution environment a strong plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office is required and advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge is desired
  • Strong analytical skills demonstrated by previous work experiences. Experience as Business Analyst in related domains
