Job Summary:
As a Quant Associate at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking- Data and and Analytics, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to effective quantitative problem solving and analytical research and delivery for key pricing initiatives.
- Understand deeply the Pricing Business and data analytical techniques, being well-versed in analytical research, experimentation, and empirical work.
- Conduct hypothesis testing and use advanced experimental design techniques. Design and execute A/B tests and multivariate tests to measure the impact and effectiveness of pricing strategies and post-performance measurement.
- Experience customer segmentation, profiling, clustering analysis, inferential statistics, data mining, and experimental design techniques. Carry a consulting mindset to identify opportunity areas for driving profitability through analytical recommendations.
- Conduct in-depth analysis and drive key analytics to help the SLT Team understand the efficacy of pricing strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define success metrics, and deliver actionable insights.
- Design and implement highly scalable and reliable data analytics processes, performing analysis and insights to drive and optimize business results.
- Possess banking experience in one or more US consumer credit portfolios (i.e., U.S. Mortgage, Home Equity, Credit Card, Automotive, Lease, Business Banking).
- Know the finance process, especially pricing and macroeconomics.
- Demonstrate strong technical and statistical skills. Synthesize data and communicate to leadership concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Focus attention to detail, being analytical and inquisitive with high standards for quality and accuracy.
- Summarize complex ideas (including technical/statistical ideas) in business-friendly language. Translate business themes into quantitative/analytical action items.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Qualified graduate / Post-Graduation degree in a quantitative discipline; Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics or Machine learning related field
- 4+ years of industry experience in the Analytics, AI/ML space from top banks and consulting firms
- Hands on Analytics/AI expert experienced in delivering Analytics projects/products in the financial services domain , involving large and complex data sets in an individual contributor capacity
- Master data storyteller with an ability to identify needles in the haystack and use Data Intelligence to draw actionable insights and make persuasive recommendations to senior stakeholders across different lines of business
- The candidate can drive business decision making and deliver fact-based meaningful recommendations through analytics. Strategic problem solver with ability to formulate innovative solutions to complex problems and keep ahead of industry trends
- Able to work effectively under pressure and in a rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines
- Exhibited leadership and desire to oversee the development of junior team member
- Strong grasp on marketing, Pricing strategy fundamentals of consumer banking business. Strong problem solving mindset and demonstrated experience in delivering customer outcomes for a consumer bank
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) to create executive ready decks and manage strategy approval meetings. Strong organization navigation skills along with ability to anticipate challenges and plan for contingencies. Strong business acumen and ability to translate technical details, observations and inferences into business language
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience in working in Agile working environment with strong communication
- Credit Card Domain and Pricing Business knowledge preferred
- Experience in working on automation tools like selenium and Alteryx preferred. Ability to work in Shift Timing 1 PM to 10 PM IST.
- The candidate should be an expert of Machine Learning, Exploratory data analysis and Advanced reporting. Experience in SAS/Python is preferred
- Solid programming skills in Python or R language is preferred
