Job Summary
The Quality System Coordinator is responsible for providing structured coordination and administrative management across three critical quality functions at LLM-MR: Corrective Action (CAR/8D) management, PFMEA RPN Reduction program oversight, and Quality Training administration. This role ensures that quality processes are organized, documented, tracked, and reported effectively to support cross-functional teams, management, and customer requirements. This position requires a self-starter who is organized and able to hold themselves and other accountable to meet the Linamar Goals and Objectives.
Responsibility
Corrective Action Coordination with Quality Manager:
Working in ETQ Schedule, facilitate, and document CAR and 8D meetings with quality and cross-functional teams.
Create and manage meeting agendas and action item registers for each active corrective action.
Follow up with task owners to ensure on-time completion of assigned corrective action items.
Prepare and present CAR/8D status reports to management, including trend data and overdue escalations.
Maintain the corrective action database in ETQ to ensure completeness and compliance.
PFMEA RPN Reduction:
Working in ETQ, Coordinate and lead PFMEA RPN Reduction meetings, including scheduling, agendas, and facilitation support.
Assign, track, and follow up on RPN reduction action items across engineering and operations teams.
Maintain PFMEA documentation per AIAG-VDA standards and customer-specific requirements.
Report RPN reduction progress to the Quality Manager and Engineering Leadership and the POC.
Quality Training Administration:
Working in ETQ Maintain and update the Quality Training Calendar and Training Matrix for LLM-MR.
Arrange and coordinate required training sessions with Quality Engineers, production teams, and external providers as needed.
Track and record training completion; identify and escalate gaps to the Quality Manager.
Support new employee quality training onboarding across production and quality functions.
Other duties as assigned.
Academic/Educational Requirements
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Business, Manufacturing, or related field – or equivalent work experience.
Required Skills/Experience
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or quality environment.
Working knowledge of corrective action methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone / Ishikawa).
Familiarity with PFMEA concepts and AIAG-VDA documentation standards.
Strong organizational, communication, and facilitation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Experience in automotive or manufacturing quality systems, preferred.
Familiarity with IATF 16949/VDA or ISO 9001 quality management systems, preferred.
Experience maintaining training management systems or learning management platforms, preferred.
Experience coordinating cross-functional meetings and preparing management-level reports, preferred.
