Quality Supervisor

Reporting directly to the Plant Quality / SPS Manager as a Plant Quality Supervisor you will be responsible for the maintenance and control of the plant’s quality testing and reporting system within the plant.

 What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assist the Quality/SPS Manager for all Customer issues, lead corrective actions, and ensure Sonoco is meeting all customer requirements.
• Support Quality/SPS Manager in developing long-term strategy for the Plant Quality Department
• Manage day to day tasks for hourly associates
• Providing development and maintenance of the quality testing/reporting system. 
• Responsible to develop, coordinate, support, train, assist, and facilitate within all attributes of the Quality Management System
• Responsible for the Advanced Product Quality Planning Process (APQP)
• Lead the continuous improvement program.
• Reduces variation within work tasks to improve process efficiency and quality.
• Managing the specification, test methods, instructions, and audit processes.
• Ensure quality records are maintained.
• Develops best practices for each operation within the plant and trains across all shifts as required

This position is located out of our Franklin Park, IL facility and 100% onsite

We’d love to hear from you if:

• You have a four-year degree, preferably in the sciences or engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years’ experience in the development and maintenance of a quality testing/reporting system.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certified is preferred

Compensation: 

The annual base salary range for this role is from $80,320 to $90,360, plus quarterly target bonus of 7.5% of base salary.
