This position reports to:
Quality Manager__
In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive the Quality Management System implementation (based on ISO 9001) and develop the necessary capabilities to control products and systems to meet the internal, customer and industry requirements, in a cost effective and safe working environment. Each day, you will assist the organization in achieving the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems. You will also showcase your expertise by collaborating with local functions that impact the quality results to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world-class performance.

This role is contributing to the Critical Power Division in Napier, New Zealand. Main stakeholders are internal quality teams, plant management, production supervisors, customer quality representatives.
You will be mainly accountable for:- Leading all activities relevant to quality management system requirements implementation in your area of responsibility.
- Assisting in continuously identifying and addressing risks and opportunities related to quality management in the local organization.
- Reporting quality performance, ensuring the Quality Management System is adhered to at all stages.
- Performing internal audits and uses Quality data analytics from all parts of the operation to identify risks, failures and non-conformances within the local operations, its suppliers and customers.
- Assisting in the application of appropriate corrective and preventive action and manages solutions to closure.
- Providing Quality training to local teams and enabling them to define and document processes that are efficient and under control.
- Facilitating resolution of customer cases by following a robust root cause analysis and implementing preventive and corrective actions.
- You are highly skilled in quality management systems and quality methodologies, such as ISO 9001, Internal Auditing, Six Sigma, or Lean principles.
- You have 8+ years of experience in implementing quality management system, preferably in power system manufacturing environments.
- You are proficient in quality management system with software platforms and data analytics tools relevant to the role.
- You demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a passion for continuous improvement and problem-solving.
- You hold a degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- You are at ease communicating in English and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You are flexible for extended work following urgent requirements, as necessary.
